About Brazos Valley Stump Grinding and Tree Service
Tim and Karen Sandifer have run Brazos Valley Stump Grinding and Tree Service since 2014. We are the first and original Sandifer family business, based in Bryan and working across the Brazos Valley.
WHO WE ARE
We started with one truck and a small crew. Most of our work still comes from customers telling their neighbors about us.
We are insured and we carry workers’ compensation, and we can produce the certificates for both. That second one matters more than people realize. If a climber is hurt on your property and the company has no comp cover, you can end up liable for it.
WE DIAGNOSE BEFORE WE QUOTE
A crew with a saw can take a tree down. Working out whether it needs to come down at all is a different job, and it is the one we do first.
That is why a good share of our tree health assessments end with a recommendation to keep the tree. A lean that has not changed in ten years is not the same as a lean that appeared last spring. Oak wilt and drought stress look alike from the driveway and need completely different responses. Getting that wrong costs you a tree or costs you the price of removing one that was fine.
HOW WE WORK
Every job gets a fixed price before it starts, given after seeing the tree rather than over the phone. It does not change once the crew arrives.
Every job ends with the site cleared. Brush chipped, logs cut and loaded, chips raked up. If you want the wood left for firewood, tell us and we will cut it to length and stack it.
